We have a novel, state of the art CO2 extraction machine as well as patented clean up technology enabling us to fine tune products depending on the customer’s needs.
Our Capabilities
Extraction
With a surge in demand for natural products we want to ensure our customers that every step used in the extraction process is both natural and sustainable. We extract using our state-of-the-art 100L supercritical CO2 extraction unit capable of flow rates of upto 25kg CO2 per min, currently the only company to employ this green and sustainable extraction technology for hemp within the UK. RX extraction uses CO2 in order to deliver on purity, versatility, efficiency and environmental friendliness.
Distillation
Our two-stage molecular distillation kit enables the distillation to occur in a continuous mode, thus preventing the need to recover the distillate and passing it through the system again. After the first stage a CBD distillate of approximately 75% purity is obtained while after the second stage, a CBD purity of 85% is obtained. Based on pre-processing a 3-6L/hour flow rate can be achieved for our winterised cannabis oil.
Crystallisation
In house capabilities means we can produce CBD isolate in our stainless steel crystallisation reactor. This method will separate out the CBD from the THC resulting in a white powder of approximately 99%+ purity.
euGMP Hemp Extracts (API)
There is a lot spoken about euGMP cannabinoids and medical cannabis and significant misunderstandings about it with the often held belief that it’s just the same as a consumer product with additional paperwork. However, the reality is euGMP permeates throughout the entire organisation from staff, training, facilities, incoming goods, raw materials, environmental controls, storage, distribution and record keeping.
At RX Extraction our business has been designed from the ground up to achieve euGMP, this will ensure that each unit of product produced is just as reliable as the next, it’s not about testing, you can’t test quality into a product – it has to be quality by design.
euGMP regulations apply to hemp extracts intended for medicinal or pharmaceutical purposes. When conducting hemp extractions under euGMP, RX Extraction delivers on that for customers.
